Who we are

This policy covers peopleservice-colornova.ca, the website of ColorNova, a cabinet painting company serving Greater Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, British Columbia. We handle personal information in line with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

What we collect

Only what you send us through the forms on this website:

  • your name;
  • a phone number and/or email address;
  • your city;
  • your message, if you write one;
  • photos of your kitchen, if you choose to send them;
  • your price calculator answers (kitchen size, door style, colour, options), if you used the calculator.

We do not ask for payment details or any government ID on this website. Photos you send are used only to prepare your quote.

Why we collect it

To reply to you, prepare a quote, arrange a free visit and do the job you ask us to do. We do not use your information for anything else, and we do not send marketing messages unless you ask for them.

Consent

By sending a form you agree that we use your information for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us; we will then stop using your information and delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. To run the website and get your request to our team quickly we use a few service providers:

  • Hosting: the website and its database run on servers of our hosting provider.
  • Email and Telegram: new requests are forwarded to our team as email and Telegram notifications.
  • Google Fonts: the website loads its fonts from Google, so your browser connects to Google's servers and Google receives your IP address.

These providers may store or process information outside Canada (for example in the United States or Europe), where it may be accessible to local authorities under their laws.

Cookies and analytics

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or analytics on this website. The only cookie is a login cookie for our own staff area, which visitors never receive.

How long we keep it

We keep your request for up to 2 years after our last contact, or longer if we did work for you and need the records for warranty, tax or legal reasons. After that we delete it.

How we protect it

The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), our staff area is protected by a password, and only our team can see your requests.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We will reply within 30 days.
